About Me

My name is Sam Rothman. I am 21 years old and hail from Tenafly, New Jersey. I love watching movies, television, and sports. I am competitive, but horribly out of shape. I am sorry. This might imply that I was once in shape, this is untrue. Because of this, I have needed to find other outlets for competition.

I love playing games with my friends. Boardgames, video games, card games, drinking games, phone games, I love them all. More about me? I am a sarcastic, honest (possibly to a fault), and love speaking my mind. Will this translate into thought-provoking, interesting, or even coherent blog posts? I guess we will find out together, reader.

In this blog, I will be discussing many topics, including –but not limited to– movies, television, sports, life in general, my thoughts on the phrase “that is everything,” In this way, I will hopefully figure out more about myself along the way.

I can almost guarantee I will never discuss politics on this blog, as important as they are, I believe there are is a time and a place for everything. So why not share a story that may be an insight into my own thought processes and pet peeves, no matter how odd.

I am sitting in the library the other day, reading Say Everything for class, comfortable in one of the nice cushioned chairs by the windows it’s essentially ideal reading conditions, considering it’s  raining outside. I just had some great pizza from Stella Luna in Orangeburg. Then three girls, have simply no regard for anyone but themselves began talking. Now, whispering something is one thing, talking loudly is another. I am in a library trying to read and cannot, due to these loud ladies. I will refer to them as the LL’s from here on out. The LL’s seem not to have a care in the world. God I hope one is in this class right now. The LL’s are talking politics, loudly in a public space. In my book this is a major no-no. I love that America is so diverse, people can have their own opinions, religion, what have you and are free to do so. When people talk about their political views in public, I dont see a difference between that and shoving their religion down my throat. You know why? Because not only is it none of your business what religion I am or who Im voting for, but I really don’t give a shit who you think the next president should be. Looking at you LLs.
